Programme of Organised Events.

Friday 1st September

A visit to Colchester Zoo. Arrival target time of 10am. With a minimum of 15 people, discounted advance group tickets are available at a considerable discount (cheaper for the over 60's). If you would like to join us on this visit please contact John on Colchester (01206) 521812 so that you can be included in the group ticket.

Friday Evening 1st September

One of the main events will be an extra pre-season meeting at Christ Church, Christ Church Court, Ireton Road, Colchester.

This will be at 7-30pm on Friday September 1st 2006. Everyone is welcome (members or non-members) to attend to meet our German friends. We hope that as many members as possible will be able to attend. Wetzlar is the home of Leica and most of the members of their society use Leica equipment. One of our visitors is a top monochrome worker and hopes to bring some of his work along for all of us to see. We will also be showing a selection of some of our slides and prints; Vic will be in touch regarding receipt of our members' work.

Saturday 2nd September

A visit to Aldeburgh. There should be plenty of photographic opportunities here, including the Shell sculpture and boats on the beach. Lunch will be taken at the Captain's Cabin, famous for its fish and chips. We may also go along the coast to Thorpeness with its "cottage the sky" and windmill and on the way back may call into Woodbridge for a Suffolk cream tea. Sunday 3rd September

A visit to the Jam Factory in Tiptree. This may not sound very exiting but is understood to be very interesting. A light lunch will be taken at the factory. Again contact John on Colchester (01206) 521812 if you are interested in joining us for this visit.

Sunday Evening 3rd September

We will be having a special three-course meal plus coffee at the Rose and Crown in East Street Colchester. The cost for this will be £25 per person. If you would like to attend this meal, once again contact John on Colchester (01206) 521812 and he will be able to give you details of the menu available.
