Here are two Galleries, created by Dan Tidswell, relating to the Still Life session at the Loft Photographic Studio.

Dan added the following relating to the watch gallery:

“A couple of things that I would have done if time had allowed:

1. Taken a tea break so that I could re-evaluate the final image and made tweaks.

2. Polished the watch (this is unforgivable).

3. Focus stacked the entire watch face.

4. Used a polariser to deal with the reflections in the face.

5. Spent a hour or so adjusting the reflectors to deal with that dark area in the top left.

Other than that it's fine for 45 minutes of work.”

Set Subjects for next year

Next year it’s Wetzlar’s choice of ‘Set Subject’ for the Colchester v Wetzlar competition & they have chosen ‘People on their Way’.

Next year our ‘Set Subject’ PDI Competition will have two subjects, rather than the three we had this year. They will be Wetzlar’s ‘People on their Way’ plus ‘Pictures in a Puddle’.

The “Essex Challenge Trophy” (10th November 2015) has the subject of “At work in Essex”.

So make a note of those and start getting some suitable images throughout the summer.
