The Programme for September 2007 to May 2008

has now been added to the website. Click on

"Programme" in the top left menu.

I have added a Forum / Message Board to the Website where

you can ask questions, enter comments, make suggestions,

enter messages, give advice, recommend websites, advertise

equipment for sale, etc, etc. and you can also enter replies to

entries already in the forum. Click on "Forum" in the upper left

menu.

The newly reintroduced R.P.S. East Anglian Newsletters

(January 2007 and June 2007) have been added. Click

on"R.P.S." in the upper left menu.

Our Secretary, Michael Anderson LRPS, has now

published his own website, and it is well worth

11th November 2006: 19th place out of 21 clubs in

the East Anglian Shield Competition at Needham Market

with 90 points out of 120. The winners were Shillington

We are holding an Exhibition of photographic

prints in Colchester Library starting on the 3rd of

January 2007 and ending on the 30th of January

2007. More ->

EAF "Prints For All" Day

The annual EAF "Prints For All" day will take place on

Sunday12th November 2006 at the Latton Bush Centre in

Harlow. Tickets always go very quickly so contact Vic on

01206562993 as soon as possible if you would like to

attend.

A visit from our friends in Wetzlar

As you may know one of Colchester's "Twin Towns" is

Wetzlar in Germany. Our Society has had a long term

contact with Fotofreunde Wetzlar, our equivalent

photographic society in Wetzlar, and several visits and

meetings have taken place over the years between

members of the societies.

Six members of Fotofreunde Wetzlar will be visiting us over

the first weekend of September.

One of the main events will be an extra pre-season meeting

at Christ Church, Christ Church Court, Ireton Road

, Colchester. This will be at 7-30pm on Friday September

1st 2006. Everyone is welcome (members or non-

members) to attend to meet our German friends. We hope

that as many members as possible will be able to attend.

Wetzlar is the home of Leica and most of the members of

their society use Leica equipment. One of our visitors is a

top monochrome worker and hopes to bring some of his

work along for all of us to see. We will also be showing a

selection of some of our slides and prints; Vic will be in

touch regarding receipt of our members' work.

The Society has also put together a programme of visits for

our visitors, including a visit to Colchester Zoo, a visit to

the Suffolk Coast at Aldeburgh and a visit to the Jam

Factory in Tiptree.

A special meal has also been arranged at the Rose and

Crown on the Sunday evening.

25th June 2006: Congratulations to John Yateman (LRPS)

on his 70th Birthday. 23 members enjoyed a celebration

meal at the White Hart in West Bergholt. Thanks to Vic for

organizing it.

24th June 2006: Ten members enjoyed a trip to Canary

Wharf and the Dancing City. Click HERE for a brief report

18th June 2006: EAF Print Championship - In the first

round we scored 98 points and therefore did not qualify for

the second round. More ->

25th May 2006: Second place out of twelve clubs in the

Sudbury Shield Competition at Long Melford. Only half a
